Our Verdict

I’ve used the Lifeventure Ultralight Packing Cubes on a few tripss, and they’ve more than earned their place in my kit. The 30D siliconised Cordura fabric is impressively tough, standing up well to repeated stuffing and reshuffling without any signs of wear. My only gripe is the colour choice — a bit more variety or bolder shades would make grabbing the right one from my pack much easier in low light. The small cube is ideal for cables and toiletries, while the medium and large cubes are spot-on for layering clothes or keeping clean and dirty gear separate. The large cube easily handles bulkier items like down jackets or synthetic layers — and in a pinch, doubles nicely as a makeshift pillow.

The weights are as advertised (mine came in at 31g, 46g, and 64g respectively), and the construction feels reassuringly neat — no snaggy seams or awkward zip pulls. I like that they hold their shape just enough without feeling stiff, making it easy to slide into side-entry packs.
