Our Verdict

SOTO’s Micro Torch Vertical is a reliable fire starting device that burns at 1300°C so is rarely affected by adverse temperatures where other lighters may struggle.

The adjustable flame height is great when you’re trying to light those tricky to access stoves. The flip closure cap is an impressive safety feature that prevents accidental ignition while protecting the lighter from dirt and dust. The button to ignite the lighter has a small gap when fully pressed down that dirt and grit can get into but if you’re careful this won’t happen.

The refillable aspect of this product works best when paired with the SOTO Fill Adapter.
