Helio LX’s 5.8-gallon vertical reservoir is equipped with a large port and easy-grip screw cap for effortless filling and emptying of the tank. (Bonus: The large opening aids with fully drying and cleaning the interior, as well.) Attached to the reservoir is a 7-foot-long neoprene hose with two-stage nozzle that can be manually triggered or set to continuous spray mode for tasks like showering or camp dishes. The extra-long hose is designed to especially complement our Heliopolis™ privacy shelter & shower tent, which has a fitted nozzle holder for a hands-free shower experience for luxury in the backcountry.

Since the tank cannot be overinflated, it’s easy to top up the pressure during use, and Helio LX’s padded handle allows for comfortable carrying to and from a water source. When it’s time to pack up, the pressure shower folds down small and both the hose and foot pump can be neatly nested under its base until the next use.

Our Verdict

The updated Nemo Helio Pressure Shower makes cleaning up off-grid far less of a chore. With a stable base and foot-pump pressure, it delivers a consistent spray without needing to be hung, making it especially useful for rinsing off kit, gear, yourself, or a dog at the end of a long day.

At 930g and with a 22-litre capacity, it’s not featherweight, but it fills a clear niche for extended trips or shared basecamps. The new wide-mouth opening is a big plus for filling and drying, and I found the two-stage nozzle handy for switching between controlled bursts and continuous spray. The 7-foot hose gives plenty of reach and nests neatly with the pump under the base for a tidy pack-down. The construction feels durable, and the design is well thought-out. It would suit everything from vanlife weekends to group treks with a base setup.
